I've got the experience
With over 12 years of web design and development experience, I've grown up with the industry. I have provided clients with web solutions since 2003 via my web design and consulting business. For the last 5 years I have worked as Design Manager at B & I Nameplate, Inc., where I was part of a 2-man team that created our e-commerce website that handles 95% of the company's business from all over the country. I also supervise and train our production staff and am in charge of internet sales and marketing.
Interface Design, Programming, and more
My specialties include web interface design and structure using (x)HTML and CSS, both of which I have worked with since 1997. I strive for clean, easy to use interfaces that are also accessible to all users, no matter what disabilities they may have or what devices they may be using to access the content.
Using the PHP programming language and MySQL databases, I have created full-fledged content management systems for clients, as well as a variety of small projects for myself. I also have experience with jQuery and Javascript behaviors.
I am excited about and continue to experiment with upcoming technologies and development methods like Ruby on Rails, HTML5, CSS3, iPhone software development and more!
The right attitude
I don't take life too seriously, but I know when to get down to business. My references will all agree that I am a hard working, creative mind that loves a good challenge. I love collaboration, and I met many of my best friends in small groups and in teams at both work and in college!
I'm a natural leader, having occupied a managerial position for over 5 years, and I work well in teams where I can learn from and work with others to create the very best product.
About this website
This website was built form the ground up, hand-coded using HTML, CSS and PHP. It was built as a custom theme upon the Wordpress content management system, and the design and structure is completely original and exclusive to this website. It is compatible with all browsers and user agents, using progressive enhancement to show more presentation elements for more advanced browsers while the content remains the same. This page is also printer friendly!
