I began my time at Cars.com as a Visual Designer, quickly moving into Senior Product Design as I took on the challenge of creating our first internal design system: researching, architecting, and leading the early development of what became the Spark Design System.
When I relocated to Grand Rapids in 2019, I shifted into a fully remote individual contributor role, continuing to guide Spark while partnering closely with Engineering. I also led design tooling modernization efforts, helping upskill the broader design organization through that transition.
In 2021, I stepped into a Senior Manager role, supporting a team of Senior and Principal Product Designers and shaping our design tools, systems, and cross-functional collaboration practices. This was a natural evolution of the same systems-focused work that had grounded my earlier roles.
